Moongeeks by Dave Guild, Dailies, copyright 2010 Dave Guild and Characters.
scene: On a park bench, a mom talks to her son. The boy is wearing a pair of 3D glasses and holding a vanity mirror with an applied half-moon graphic on its face. // caption: [Mother] “What ever you do, don’t shine your solar powered Alien Flier signal beacon in anyone’s or anything’s eyes. Got that Mr. Signal Boy?... ” // caption: [Child] “Err... Roger that.”
narrative: From the sun, and through the air... / scene: A boy holds a mirror & shine the sun’s reflective light…
narrative: The beam of light is everywhere!
narrative: It shines on walls, It shines on trees...
narrative: It shines on signs, and little bees... // caption: [Bee] “Watch the eyes... watch the eyes.”
narrative: And everywhere the beacon glows, the call goes out, it calls the crows. // scene: Crows descend on the scene.
narrative: If you will remember, all crows appear black. It is only with aid of special optical specs that Alien Flier crows (or LAMAVs ~ Low Altitude Micro Air Vehicles) appear blue. And as Joey flashed the reflected light off the vanity mirror that had a half-moon mask applied to it... // scene: Mr. Rivo stands next to a child who is holding a vanity mirror and is wearing 3D glasses.
narrative: Crows could be seen flying through the park... // When suddenly a crow landed no more than a stone’s throw away. Black in appearance, yet it even glanced towards the young boy. Could it be?...
narrative (commentary): Could it actually be an Alien Flier? Maybe his optical specs weren’t working quite right, maybe they were out of focus. It was a crow! He had signaled a crow! Without hesitation he called out to the bird... // caption: [Child] “ Hey! Hey!! Here he is! Here he is! Mr. Rivo!
Here he is!!! Hey!”
narrative: When he looked behind him, Mr. Rivo was gone. Turning to take another look at the crow... it was gone too. // scene: A crow flies by and a boy looks on.
