Moongeeks by Dave Guild, Chapter 3, The Moongeeks, copyright 2009/2010 Dave Guild and Characters.
narrative (commentary): [NIGHT VISION GOGGLES] [ON] // scene: A moongeek is sweeping moon dust, it's his job...it's what he does. // caption: [Moongeek] "Oh, there... I'm workin'. That's what I'm doin'. Cuz that's what I do. Yup, Yup. I'm workin'... It's my job, it's what I do... my job... Workin'. Bye, now. Bye." // narrative (commentary): On the dark side of the moon there lives a creature, or should I say, a society of creatures. Who are really no more creatures, than we humans are creatures... Creatures of God, or creatures of habit. Yet they are different from us...you and me...
narrative (commentary): So... as we spin along in our little universe, there are some things that just "are"... // scene: Our solar system, the sun and planets.
narrative (commentary): Like the Alien Fliers and the Greys, Cats and Dogs, Birds and Bees... Things "are" what they "are." // A bird is a bird, and a bee is a bee. // And a Moongeek... well, a Moongeek is just a geek...a geek. // scene: Drawing of a cat, dog bird, and some bees. Also two moongeeks.
narrative (commentary): Not mathematical. No-No. Not scientific. No-o-o...a Moongeek is simply a plain old geek. // scene: A Moongeek skipping along. // caption: [Moongeek] "Doot-Dee-Do..."
narrative (commentary): And in order to understand the Fliers of the Bungalow Moon-- you need to know about the Moongeeks. // caption: [Anonymous Flier] "Geek!" // scene: The Moongeek is shock and surprise to the little flier's remark.
narrative (commentary): Up until very recently, we knew extremely little about these individuals. // scene: Stars in the sky
scene: An Apollo astronaut has letf his lunar rover to take a stroll on the moon, while two moongeeks are standing on an Opti-Con. // narrative (commentary): But thanks to the invention of night vision goggles (NVGs), we can finally see them...just like they have always seen us. // In the late 1960’s, the need for light weight NVGs was born... // caption: [Apollo astronaut] "Houston. We're not alone..." // narrative (commentary): Continued...
