Moongeeks by Dave Guild, Chapter 2, Intelligent Design, copyright 2009/2010 Dave Guild and Characters.
narrative (commentary): Dear Reader, If you quality-- or should I say-- if you have a good enough imagination. And can picture, using your mind's eye, the crews of the Alien Fliers and the crows as they fly... // scene: A crow is in flight.
narrative (commentary): Then you will probably agree with these sketches that I have drawn. For those who's imaginations just can't seem to picture what it is that I'm writing about... // scene: Studio stuff, sketchbook, pencil, eraser, cup of coffee, and pages filled with drawings. A sketch of panel three appears on the drawing tablet. narrative (commentary): Please observe. From what I've been told, the insides of the LAMAVs (Low Altitude Micro Air Vehicles) look something like this-- // scene: Anatomy/Cross Section drawing of an alien aircraft. A crow fuselage with alien occupants at their stations. The drawing is labeled; located in the rear of the aircraft are the Bomb bay /shop with the bombardier/mechanic. In the center of the body is the physical plant. A hydraulic pump that pumps life into bird, is fueled by the garbage burner. Burning calories keeps the bird powered up. Next, the forward station is for the navigator/IT specialist. Up the ladder and through the flight deck door is the cockpit, what would the head of the bird. Like human air vehicles the pilot sits on the right and the copilot sits on the left. There are not any windshields or windows... all outside viewing is done with cameras an monitors. Although the eyes can manually be opened and viewed through, they are rarely used, because of the amount of data that is on the screens, the pilots keep their focus there.
// scene: Three crows are singled out from the flock, the front bird is Mr. Rivo's. The drawing is of a cut away section view showing the pilots & navigator trainee, Rivo.
scene: Cutaway view of the cockpit of Rivo's bird. To the left is the copilot, Verter. To the right, wearing the pilot's hat is the pilot, Captain Nee. And peeking through the flight deck door is Mr. Rivo. // caption: [Captain Nee] "Rivo, So long as we're flying in formation, you don't have to worry about navigating anything. We'll just fly on visuals, and stick with the flock." //
caption: [Captain Nee] "That gives you time to look around, and get familiar with this bird..."
narrative (commentary): They came out of the Northwest skies-- 24 birds. Piloted by the tiny aliens that I will call, The Fliers of the Bungalow Moon. // scene: A flock of crows is heading southeast.
